Description:Community Apple Orchard at Blows Down
OS Coordinates:(502690,221825) or TL 026 218
Directions:From the centre of Dunstable, head towards Luton on Church Street, and turn right into Station Road at the traffic lights just before the busway bridge.
Alternatively, from the south of Dunstable turn from the A5 into Great Northern Road. Go straight along Great Northern Road, and straight over the mini-roundabout.
At the corner where Great Northern Road and Station Road meet, find somewhere to park (could be tricky), and WALK beside the busway slip road. After passing through a gate, keep right onto a dirt path, and you will find the apple orchard.
With a longer walk, access is also possible from the end of Half Moon Lane, where it might be easier to park. Facing the downs at the end of Half Moon Lane, take the signposted public footpath to your left, and walk straight along it for about 600 metres, when the apple orchard will be on your right, just before you meet the busway.
