This Sunday the Methodist church will be celebrating Harvest Festival which will include church parade for Scouts and Guides. All are welcome, please arrive at the Church Hall (where we normally meet) at 10:15 in full-uniform.
This year the church are collecting donations for the Dunstable Food Bank who have particularly asked for donations of: UHT Milk, Long life fruit juice, Sponge Puddings, Tins of fruit and vegetables, Rice pudding, Instant mash

Church Parade consists of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, together with members of the Guides, parading flags from the church hall (opposite Wilkinson's) round to the front of the church, and then participating in the Remembrance service. Note that this service will be live-streamed by the church on YouTube.

1. Keep a dairy for a week, showing how you have recycled or saved energy at home. 2. Try different kinds of Fair-trade products. Talk about the Benefits of Fair-trade in the world. 3. Creat a ‘zoo’ of endangered animals. Find out why they are endangered. You might include pandas, South China Tigers, black Rhinos. Sumatran orang-Iran’s, Amur leopards, vaquitas or Hawksbill Turtles. 4. Use a soft drinks bottle to create a water filter using sand and pebbles. Talk about the problems some people have finding clean and safe drinking water.

snow sport badge. visit to Snozone in 2023.MK Dates: Thursday 11th May 2023 Timings for the days: 17:00 – Arrive at Reception to check in.They ask that you arrive 45 minutes prior to the booking to make sure we can get you equipped and ready on time. 17:20 – Head down to the rental desk to collect equipment. 17:45 – Ski Lesson x 20 people 18:45 – End of Ski lesson Booking Type: 20 students total (All Skiing) Cost of lesson: £19.99 per person We’ve payed 9.99 towards each beaver going. Parents payed £10 towards this activity. - Please note: Each group can accommodate the following numbers: 8 participants on ski lesson. - Boots, skis and helmets are provided. Everyone must wear gloves to take part in the lesson and we recommend thick socks and warm, preferably waterproof clothing. We have been 2 times before & the beavers have loved it. It is 5th Dunstable Scout Groups 80th Anniversary this year - So thinking caps on for beavers, you will all be asked to design your own badge to celebrate our 80th. We shall be asking Brian to judge the winer of all the entries. Have a practice at home if you like. Do you know any of our history if so please bring it in on the night.

Group 1, 6.15 to 6.45, Layden, Finley B, Erin, Joseph, Theo. Orlando, Harrison. Group 2, 6.30 to 7, Bohdey, Alfie, Zack, Hannah, Alexander, Kobie, Leo n. Group 3, Ezekiel, Elia, Elias, Leo R. Marcus. Louis. Thank you, is it possible for parents to wait for their beaver please. We normally do sports activities with this section. Our Group Annual General Meeting and Picnic. We try to keep the AGM short, so you can then watch the youngsters doing their scouty activities. Please bring some food - labelled with what it is - to share for a picnic. Bring a camping chair if you have one as there is limited seating at the site.
